The National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) reported 989 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
A total of 123 more people died of COVID-19 related complications taking South Africa’s death toll to 88,104.
KwaZulu-Natal recorded the highest number of new COVID-19 cases with 194.
