The Department of Home Affairs has extended its trading hours this weekend across the country ahead of the local government elections.
Temporary operating hours are 8 am to 4 pm this weekend only.
This is to accommodate people who would need to collect or apply for IDs to enable them to vote on Monday.
Around 400 000 IDs have not been collected at home affairs offices.
