The Health Department said 533 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the past 24 hours.
An additional 55 coronavirus-related deaths were reported.
The majority of new cases reported on Tuesday were from Gauteng with 150, followed by KwaZulu-Natal with 93.
Just over 30,845 tests were conducted in the past day, with a 1,7 percent positivity rate.
