The Freedom Front Plus wants affordable housing for Cape Town residents.
The party’s mayoral candidate, Lennit Max, criticised DA leader, John Steenhuisen, for saying golf courses could be used for housing.
Max said, “there is already evidence, they confirmed that land is available, government land is available, state land is available, it’s not necessary now to use golf courses like the DA (suggests),” he said.
“I don’t know who is in charge of the DA. The one day they say that, the other day they create the expectations which they cannot fulfill and the people are already out with placards and posters on the golf course as a result of the DA’s false promises,” he said.
