The alleged mastermind behind Tshegofatso Pule’s murder is expected to appear at the High Court in Johannesburg on Friday.
Ntuthuko Shoba was left out in the cold after his lawyer, Shaddy Sithole, withdrew from the case. Shoba was trying to be kept at the Krugersdorp Police Holding Cells.
Shoba claims his life is in danger, saying he received threatening WhatsApp messages apparently from the hitman, Muzikayise Malephane.
Malephane confessed to killing Pule and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
