An ANC ward councillor in uMkhambathini Mid Illovo in KZN has survived a suspected assassination attempt.
Mzwandile Shandu says gunmen opened fire on his home, injuring one person and killing another.
While it’s suspected the attack was politically motivated, this is yet to be confirmed.
Police say they are still investigating the matter.
