Primary school pupils to return to class daily from 26 July

Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga has gazetted that from 26 July primary school pupils must return to school daily.

This includes pupils from special education needs schools.

And that means school attendance will be determined by the direction the pandemic is taking in the district municipality and country.

Unions have been pushing for the closure of schools countrywide citing concerns around the rising COVID-19 cases.
