Johannesburg mayor Geoff Makhubo will be laid to rest in Soweto. He died on Friday from COVID-19 complications. Makhubo contracted COVID-19 in late June and was admitted to the hospital on 3 July.
He had been serving as the city’s mayor since 2019. President Cyril Ramaphosa described his death as a loss to the city and the province at large.

The fight between the Limpopo superstar singers, King Monada and Makhazi is finally over. King Monada and Makhadzi have been fighting over a song called “Ghanama” for a while now. Makhdzi claimed that they had recorded two songs in one session, Ghanama which is her song, and Impossible which is King Monada’s song. Learn more
