But he did not have the last laugh.
Police have confirmed the Mercedes Benz-driving man has been arrested.
This was after his video set social media abuzz.
He was seen running towards his luxury car carrying a Woolworth’s basket full of looted goods.
Police say he will appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
