Trial date set for Nelson Mandela funeral fraud case

The trial for the Nelson Mandela funeral fraud case has been set for 5 October.

Former Eastern Cape health MEC Sindiswa Gomba and eleven others stand accused of defrauding.

Buffalo City metro with millions linked to the funeral of the former president.

Gomba has waited for seven years for the start of this trial.

The NPA justified numerous postponements, saying it was never a delaying tactic, but a process issue.

Meanwhile, Gombo says she’s happy she’ll finally have her day in court.
