Former president Jacob Zuma insists his 15-month sentence is unconstitutional as he never had a trial.
Zuma maintains he is innocent, saying health issues prevented him from returning to the state capture commission.
The Constitutional Court found him guilty of contempt of court after he refused to return to the commission.
Zuma remains adamant that commission chairperson, Raymond Zondo, is biased against him.
