Protests over Jacob Zuma’s arrest have now spilled into Gauteng.
Flare-ups occurred in parts of Johannesburg last night.
The N3 in KwaZulu-Natal was closed after protesters torched several trucks calling for the release of former president Jacob Zuma.
Some protesters have been arrested for public violence.
Zuma is in jail as part of his 15-month sentence handed down by the Constitutional Court for contempt.
