ANC MP Bongani Bongo maintains his innocence after briefly appearing in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court in Mbombela, Mpumalanga.
Bongo and 10 other accused are facing charges of corruption, fraud, money laundering, and contravention of the Public Finance Management Act, in relation to dubious land deals.
But Bongo says these are politically motivated charges.
