Only those who believe in the higher power can save South Africa that’s the message from religious leaders who will be contesting during the local government elections.
Political parties God Save Africa and Al Jama-ah are canvassing for votes in Cape Town and Gqeberha this weekend.
Both political parties insist they’re not competing in the elections just to make up the numbers.
GSA party, during their election manifesto launch in Mfuleni, Cape Town said they are preaching for positive change in South Africa.
GSA says only those who believe in God can save the country from corruption, poverty, and other social ills.
God Save Africa won’t be the only faith-based political party competing in the November elections.
Al Jama-ah was formed in 2007 by its single member of parliament Ganief Hendricks.
The party says it doesn’t only serve the interests of Muslims.
Spiritual leaders say anything is possible through divine intervention.
