The Johannesburg High Court has issued an interdict against taxi violence in Soweto and the Johannesburg CBD.
The war is between the Witwatersrand African Taxi Owners Association and the Nancefield Dube West Taxi Association.
The chairpersons and members of both are interdicted from intimidating or committing or threatening violence against any public transport operator travelling between Soweto and Johannesburg.
The Gauteng Transport MEC and the taxi associations have agreed to further negotiations during the week.
