Quarantine is for people who have been exposed to the virus and don’t have any symptoms.
Being in self-quarantine doesn’t necessarily mean you have COVID-19 symptoms however it is critical to monitor your health for 14 days and stay away from the public.

The lockdown was announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa on Monday as a measure to combat the spread of COVID-19.
This is a decisive measure to save millions of South Africans from infection and save the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. South Africa has 554 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Government is expecting that number to rise.
