Tshwane Mayor Stevens Mokgalapa to resign

Tshwane Mayor, Stevens Mokgalapa says he will resign. Mokgalapa will resign at the end of February. He insists that he hasn’t broken any laws.

“The Democratic Alliance (DA) notes the Executive Mayor of Tshwane, Stevens Mokgalapa’s intention to resign from his position as mayor,” said DA Gauteng leader John Moodey.

The DA said it will begin a process to nominate a new mayor. He was embroiled in a s-e-x scandal in the city’s offices with one of his colleagues. In December last year, Mokgalapa was voted out as Tshwane mayor.
