The South African Weather Service has issued a warning for localized flooding around Gauteng throughout the weekend.
Thunderstorms are forecast around the province.

Johannesburg Emergency Services spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi urged motorists to be vigilant and to avoid flooded areas.
He said motorists should exercise extreme caution.
“Most of the roads are slippery and some are flooded. Make sure you use alternative routes,” he said.
