Gospel singers and celebrities were dressed to kill at this year’s SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards taking place at the Durban ICC.
The SABC Crown Gospel Music Awards is a platform to award excellence in the South African gospel music industry under various categories.
To date the awards boast more than 30 categories. The winners are awarded a crown for their contribution in the gospel industry.
Founded and produced by Zanele Mbokazi and sponsored by the SABC, the awards are the biggest event on the South African gospel calendar.
This year’s event is characterized by top politicians including, the former first Lady, Thobeka Madiba- ZUMA, Minister Jeff Radebe, KZN DA leader, Zwakele Mncwango, Member of the provincial legislature, Bishop Pastor Vusi Dube.
MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and environmental affairs, Nomusa Dube Ethekwini Mayor, Mxolisi Kaunda, to name a few.
In other news – Generations: The Legacy going off-air
Generations: The Legacy will go off air for a month as from Monday the 25th November! According to a statement from SABC1, old actors and favourites will re-emerge on the screens from this coming week.
The statement reads, in part: “The SABC’s popular soapie, Generations: The Legacy is taking a month-long break. Starting from Monday, 25 November 2019 the soapie will go down memory lane by screening selected iconic episodes of Mzanzi’s most loved soapie, Generations in celebration of its indomitable records, reminiscing on talent who went on to become household names and storytelling spanning 28 years”. continue reading
