The case against former SAA chairperson Dudu Myeni, returns to court on Monday. Myeni’s legal team is trying to convince the court that other board members should also be there.
The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse and the SAA Pilots’ Association brought an application to have Myeni declared a delinquent director.
This is due to her decision-making while at the helm of the embattled airline. According to Outa, SAA lost over R16-billion during Myeni’s tenure.
Myeni has previously failed to show up in court, claiming she did not have money for travel or lawyers. Now, her legal team want other directors to be investigated alongside Myeni. Both parties have been preparing for three weeks and will present their arguments on Monday.
