CT refugee community warns they’ll recover a missing body

The refugee community in Cape Town warns they’ll take matters into their own hands to recover a missing body.

On Tuesday night, officials called off the search to retrieve the fourth missing body of teenagers who drowned at Sea Point.

The bodies of three other teens have already been recovered.

Refugees say they’re prepared to jump into the water themselves to find the last body.

A spokesperson for the NSRI, Craig Lambinon, said this time has been difficult for everyone involved.

“Our care and thoughts are with the family and we have had the Fire and Rescue Service chaplain service assist with family counselling,” Lambinon said.
