The picturesque Midmar dam in KwaZulu-Natal has been flooded with sewage from a nearby pump station.
The dam supplies water to Pietermaritzburg and the eThekwini municipality.
It’s a concern as the festive season draws nearer.
A criminal case has been opened against municipalities involved in the sewage spill.
