Prayers pour in for Skeem Saam actor Clement Maosa over death of his mom and dad who died after their engagement

Skeem Saam actor and businessman Clement Maosa whose always been vocal about losing his parents at a very young age recently took to social media to share a snap of his birth parents on the day they celebrated their engagement. Clement reflected on how their death came about so sudden and he and his siblings did not even get time to mourn.

This was their engagement celebration before the wedding, and immediately after the celebration they both started having health issues then eventually passed on a year later. I was young but I heard all kinds of accusations/allegations from everyone, community members, family, church people and just passerby what was the cause of their deaths and as a teenager I was confused and the family war erupted and we didn’t even get the time to grief or mourn as everything happened so fast… the only solution was to relocate with my siblings from that village, switch off the noise and somehow started afresh.” Shared the actor.

Chatting about his healing process, Maosa revealed that at a point, he felt that maybe their decision to get married was the one that cost them their lives and felt that had they not gone on with the decision maybe they’d still be alive.

Healing is a process and no one should predict when and how to deal with it. The fact that two domestic workers who were already written off were now emerging in business and had a white wedding in the village didn’t sit well with many for some weird reason, at some point I believed that had they not get married and had a huge wedding celebration they would still be alive… anyway it’s all in the past now I’m just rewriting history that’s all. Tlou & Mosima Maosa engraved on my heart for eternity.”

Celebrating his 34th birthday in April 2021, the actor thanked his adoptive mother for the man he’s grown up to be and attributes all his success to her.

At the age of 21 I obtained my LLB degree and immediately got my first tv break and since I never looked back but through it all this here Queen gave me and my siblings the greatest love a human can ask for after both my parents passed on,” posted Maosa in part.

Olievenhoutbosch residents tell Bheki Cele are tired of crime

The community of the crime-ridden Olievenhoutbosch in Centurion went to the local sports centre to demand the police station be closed down.

Minister of Police Bheki Cele visited the area to kick off a ministerial crime prevention imbizo and hundreds of residents gathered in the streets around the Olievenhoutbosch Sports Centre in Extension 37 to try and get a glimpse of him.

Frustrated residents, who were not allowed into the centre, said they were tired of the crime in the area.

“There’s too much crime here, people are losing their lives daily,” one resident said. “Break-ins, house break-ins, car break-ins, rape, robbery, and murder, you name it,” another added.

From as early as 4 pm, youngsters could be seen selling drugs on the street corners and by 6 pm, women locked themselves in their houses because they feared for their lives.

“The foreigners come here with no fingerprints. It makes it easy to do crime and to kill, because they cannot be traced,” the resident added.

The tennis courts, where the imbizo took place, were secured with additional steel fences and a heavy police presence made up by officers from the Tshwane metro police department, Gauteng police, the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, various other units, and a police helicopter.

Before the minister took to the stage, a group of angry residents who were not let into the imbizo, had a standoff with police who formed a human chain to keep them out.

Initially, more people were expected to attend, but the event was downscaled due to the new lockdown regulations and restrictions on the number of people allowed at outdoor gatherings.

Many residents gave testimony on how they were affected by the crime and the bad or no police service in the area.

The Olievenhoutbosch police were described as a disgrace run by tsotsis, with residents calling for the shutdown of the station.

Cele made notes. “Ja, hey, I won’t stand here and lie, it’s not going to happen,” Cele told them.

He said he agreed with some of the residents, that there was a lot that needed to be done in a short time.

“A process has to be followed in a short time to create a situation where the community wants to work with the police,” Cele added.

Cele said that Olievenhoutbosch police station crime was ranked 47th out of 143 police stations in Gauteng.

“There are 12 police cars in the garage. All except three have been standing there since 2020. The cars must come to work,” Cele added.

Cele said there were currently 1 800 open cases at the station which were not being investigated because the station did not have detectives.

He said another meeting would be set up to put a process in place to build a better relationship with the community.

Cele added he would look at properly planned operations, adding a Community Policing Forum structure and a special task team would start with the backlog of investigations and a trace and track team would be sent to the station.

“All of us must work together to fight against crime,” Cele said.

Bonang still waiting for her R500k from YouTuber Rea Gopane

Bonang recently landed on the Twitter trends list after Mzansi realised it had been 10 days since she served Rea with a letter of demand on Twitter, where she demanded an extensive apology and R500k for alleged damages to her reputation.

Media personality Bonang Matheba has suggested that blogger Rea Gopane has to face the music, after the 10 days she gave him to gather and pay R500k for alleged defamation of character had lapsed.

A fan asked Bonang if she had received the R500k from Rea and she implied that she had not yet received a cent from the vlogger. She also revealed that Rea was served summons a few days ago.

This comes after the Youtuber, who is one half of The Rea and Black Step Podcast, alleged that another well-known celebrity had told him that Bonang had allegedly “introduced AKA to drugs”.

Bonang and AKA were previously in a romantic relationship.

Bonang asked her B-Force to be patient as things would soon unfold.

Meanwhile, while Rea hasn’t said anything on his social media about paying the R500K, the vlogger promised a tweep that he would talk about his experience in the near future.

Malusi Gigaba denies allegation about Dudu Myeni

Former Public Enterprises Minister, Malusi Gigaba says he did not know that former SAA board chairperson, Dudu Myeni fed information to then-President Jacob Zuma.

Gigaba’s estranged wife, Norma Mngoma has alleged that he would complain about Myeni.

But he has told the commission otherwise.

“I am not aware of any information that Ms. Myeni would feed to the former president. If I needed to discuss issues with the board of SAA, I either convened the chairperson and the CEO of the board and discussed issues with them or request special general meetings with the board in order to raise certain issues or the department would engage either the board or the executive management of SAA to discuss matters relating to the airline,” he said.

“Any other thing that seeks to suggest that there was information that Ms. Myeni fed to the former president is a fabrication.”

Gigaba appeared before the commission Monday.

Child abuse is on the increase in South Africa and it was particularly bad during the COVID-19 heavy lockdown.

In the Western Cape alone, more than 250 children were abused during the first three months of the lockdown.

Experts say increased levels of stress were experienced during the hard lockdown in households.

Civil society organizations say this is but the tip of the iceberg as many cases go unreported.

DJ Sbu – I lost it all!

Media personality turned businessman DJ Sbu has shared how he lost everything trying to impress friends.

In all of this he blamed bad financial decisions including buying expensive alcohol, expensive sports cars and expensive clothes. But now he’s a changed man.

In a video clip he said: “Don’t spend yourself poor trying to look rich. Learn from people like me. Don’t make the same mistakes as I did. I made those mistakes buying expensive booze, expensive sports cars, expensive clothes, going out a lot, trying to impress friends.

“That really messed me up because it was my regular and normal lifestyle. And then I lost it all. I had to press the restart button and start all over again. Now I’m making smarter financial decisions.

“We’ve all been disturbed by lockdown. Our finances are struggling. I’m a parent now. I have a daughter and I have to think about her future, I have to think about her education, I have to think about my own future as well. “Right now I am making smarter decisions. I don’t want you to make the mistake of trying to impress strangers on social media. Don’t let social media put you under pressure. If you can’t afford it, you can’t afford it. Be smart with your financial decisions.”

In a caption, he wrote: “It’s important to make sure that even if you lose a job or a gig or a business, you have managed your money in a responsible way to see you and your family through. It is never too late to start good habits. Remember you have a family to feed, not a community to impress. Control your spending before your spending controls you.”

The clip served as motivation for both his colleagues and his Instagram fans.

Musician Nomcebo Zikode commented: “Well said. I need to share this. I believe it’s going to help a lot of people. People can really put you under pressure and if you are not strong enough, woe unto you. Thank you for reminding me this.”

Musician Candy Tsa Mandebele commented: “Thanks for the beautiful words.”

Instagram user Cameroon Dave said: “I was about to go buy an apple watch, but now I’m thinking twice.”

High Court postpones fraud-related case against the Bushiris in Pretoria

A fraud-related case against self-proclaimed prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife, Mary, has been postponed by the High Court in Pretoria.

The matter relates to a luxury jet, which has been seized by the State.

The State believes that the 1984 Gulfstream jet was bought through the proceeds of crime.

The Bushiris are embroiled in multiple fraud-related cases in South Africa amounting to millions of rands.

The case against the couple was postponed to 1 November in their absence.

Their lawyer was also not present when the matter was rolled over pending the finalization of their extradition hearing in Malawi.

The controversial couple fled the county after they were released on R200,000 bail each by the Pretoria Magistrates Court last year.

They claimed they were not safe in this country, also saying they believed they would not get a fair trial.

The matter is expected back in court in Malawi on Thursday for the continuation of the extradition case.

Model Heidi Klum in legal battle with father over daughter’s name

Heidi Klum is in a legal battle with her father over her daughter Leni’s name, after Gunther Klum filed to trademark the moniker.

The “America’s Got Talent” star and her father, Gunther, are at loggerheads over commercial deals for Heidi’s eldest daughter Leni, 17, who is a model.

Gunther, 75, has trademarked Leni’s name and registered his paperwork with the European Union in March this year, where he also trademarked Leni’s nickname Mausekatze, which means mouse cat.

However, 47-year-old Heidi has fired off a legal challenge to try and win the rights to Leni’s name herself.

German lawyer Stephan Ruben told Bild newspaper: “Should Gunther Klum violate the rights of third parties he will be threatened with an injunction which, if granted, will cost him €250 000 or six months of jail.

“So far there is no injunction but the lawyers threatened him with it.

“That’s why he sent a letter [posted on his Instagram] and wrote ‘you are even threatening me with jail time’.”

Gunther has also insisted he has always dealt with family trademark rights, and because Leni is named after his own mother, he believes the rights to her trademark should belong to him.

He told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “I requested the trademark of Leni months ago. She has her name from my mother Leni.

“The rights to the trademark Leni Klum are with me.”

Heidi was previously managed by her father until they reportedly fell out in 2019 after she tied the knot with Tokio Hotel rocker Tom Kaulitz.

Meanwhile, Heidi’s ex-husband Seal – with whom she has Leni, as well as Henri, 15, Johan, 14, and Lou, 11 – recently said he wasn’t happy about his daughter following Heidi’s footsteps into modelling.

He said: “That’s a precarious road to take.”

But the ‘Kiss From A Rose’ hitmaker admitted his kids aren’t interested in his own career.

He added: “We never really talk about my music at all.”

New study reveals unbelievable details about men with big pen!ses

A lot is often said about how big a man’s 4-5 is, or should be. We even to a large extent measure manhood by the size of a man’s 4-5. This, according to experts, has led to s.e.xual issues such as weak erect!ons and low s.e.x drive and esteem.

For a man to have great s.e.x and please a woman, he ought to have a big tool, right?

Well, according to the latest African study, that seems to not be the case.

A new study out of Kenya found that husbands with larger 4-5s were more likely to be cheated on by their wives.

In the study published this month in PLOS One journal, researchers interviewed 545 married couples in Kenya in order to better understand their relationship habits and, more specifically, to identify factors which contributed to women having extramarital affairs.

Researchers asked both partners to self-report the male’s erect 4-5 size.

Then, if there were differences between the estimates, they either took the average of the two or went with the estimate from the partner who was less likely to lie.

“Every one inch longer 4-5 increased the likelihood of women being involved in extramarital partnerships by almost one and a half times,” the researchers wrote.

Women associated large 4-5s with pain and discomfort during s.e.x, which precludes the enjoyment and s.e.xual satisfaction that women are supposed to feel.

According to the study, 6,2% of the 545 females had affairs during the six-month study.

Other factors that increased the likelihood of women straying outside the marriage included domestic violence, being denied s.e.x, or denied their preferred s.e.xual position, being under the age of 25, and a lack of s.e.xual satisfaction.

Police in Zambia have started arresting members of the resident doctors association after their leaders announced a strike on Friday.

The Resident Doctors Association of Zambia (RDAZ) is demanding the recruitment of 500 doctors and payment of salary arrears, among other issues, according to its president Dr Brian Sampa.

They are also demanding the creation of new positions for senior doctors who have continued to receive salaries at the level of junior doctors.

Mr Sampa’s practicing license has been suspended following his strike announcement.

Zambia Police chief Kakoma Kanganja has also warned him that he would be arrested if he continued addressing his members through via Zoom meetings.
