Investigation under way following Nashville blast

Nashville has declared a state of civil emergency following a parked camper van exploded in the city, injuring three people. The van was parked on a deserted street in downtown Nashville.

The blast resulted in widespread communication outages that took down police emergency systems and grounded flights at the city’s airport.

Some human remains were found in the vicinity, but it’s not clear if they are related to the incident.

So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the explosion. But Nashville mayor John Cooper says initial evidence shows it was a deliberate act.
