COVID-19: South Africa records 497 new deaths

South Africa has recorded 497 new COVID-19 deaths. The Western Cape recorded the most deaths at 158, with the Eastern Cape following with 137.

The death toll now stands at over 27,568. An additional 9,580 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded. Taking the total to over 1-million.
