Bandile Masuku has threatened legal action after reports alleging that he was personally involved in awarding PPE tenders.
Masuku has stepped aside from his position as Gauteng’s Health MEC amidst controversy in the province over tender allocation.
He has appeared before the Special Investigating Unit and the ANC’s Provincial Integrity Committee.
The multimillion-rand tender was awarded to the husband of Presidential spokesperson Khusela Diko. It’s understood the Masuku’s and the Dikos are family friends.
Masuku has clarified that he initiated the investigation into the PPE procurement tenders.
He’s further maintained his innocence and threatened legal action against those who are trying to defame him.
