Hours after allegedly killing two women and wounding another woman, police said that a man had apparently committed suicide by hanging himself in Boksburg.
Police were searching for the 27-year-old man in Vosloorus 48 hours after he allegedly shot dead his girlfriend and her mother.
The 21-year-old woman’s younger sister is in hospital after she was wounded.
The motive for the shooting is not clear.
Police said that they found the suspect’s body hanging at a warehouse site near Dawn Park in Boksburg earlier on Wednesday.
Authorities found a firearm believed to have been used to murder the women near the spot where the suspect hanged himself.
It comes at a time when another man handed himself to police after he stabbed a woman to death in Tembisa.
Meanwhile, a man was killed by a mob after raping and allegedly killing a 20-year-old woman in the Dali Mpofu informal settlement on Monday.
