#Statecaptureinquiry witness struggles to remember

A witness not knowing the details of a business deal is one thing, but not even being able to remember when he got married that’s another.

The state capture inquiry heard some laboured testimony on Wednesday from Vuyisile Ndzeku.

He is a former director at JM Aviation and current director at Swissport South Africa.

Both companies were involved in multimillion-rand deals with SAA.

On 15 March 2016, SAA and Swissport conclude a R1.5-billion contract.

Despite earlier denials, Ndzeku got his cut. Nzdeku once paid R2.5-million towards the purchase of a house for one Nontsasa Memela.

She occupied a rather important position at the national carrier. The inquiry continues on Thursday.
