General housekeeping needed – Apply Now: Salary R7200 per month.

The housekeeper is responsible for making sure all assigned areas of the hotel are clean, neat, and tidy. This includes any indoor household cleaning and organizing tasks assigned by the executive housekeeper and may regularly include cleaning projects. This position reports to the Head Housekeeper.

Responsibilities

Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures
Cleaning and sanitizing toilets, showers/bathtubs, countertops, and sink
Making beds and changing linens
Washing windows
Vacuuming and cleaning carpets and rugs
Steaming floors
Cleaning sidewalks and all work area
Cleaning and tidying housekeeping carts
Deep cleaning projects as assigned
Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent
Basic knowledge of cleaning and customer service Knowledge, skills and ability
Planning, time management and organizational skills
Must be able to communicate and follow directions
Ability to organize workload and complete the assigned task within scheduled hours
Physical Requirements

Must be able to move, stand and bend long periods of time
Must be able to lift up to 30lbs
Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with the residents and staff Work Environment
Works in all areas of the facility
Moves intermittently during working hours
Is subject to frequent interruptions and may need to reschedule cleaning activities.
Works beyond normal working hours, on weekends and holidays when necessary, as well as in other positions as needed
Attends and participates in continuing educational programs
Communicates with the housekeeping staff and other department staff
Job Type: Contract

Salary: R6,500.00 – R7,200.00 per month

Experience: housekeeping: 1 year (Preferred)
Cleaning: 1 year (Preferred)
Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng (Preferred)
