Limpopo born singer, Master KG is living proof that dreams do come true. Each week his hit record, Jerusalema keeps reaching greater heights.

Yesterday, the greatest footballer of his generation, Cristiano Ronaldo endorsed the current national anthem by posting a video on Instagram with the song playing in the background.

The video shows the five-time ballon D’or winner and his partner making their way to an intimate private party. They greeted everyone upon their arrival, shaking hands and exchanging kisses on the checks (seriously, hat happened to social distancing?).

The gathering developed into a night to remember as everyone socialised and enjoyed great food with some wine over a few performances. Ronaldo’s wife, Georgina Rodriguez, was the centre of attention in an impressive red dress. The attendees dance the night away and Ronaldo showed off his dancing skills.

“Life is better with your loved ones. Enjoy all the moments with love and happiness! @georginagio,” was the caption to Ronaldo’s Instagram video with Jerusalema playing in the background.

Jerusalema is a song by South African musician Master KG which came out in December last year. The record became an instant hit in South Africa but it was in mid-2020 that it completely went viral. It is currently sitting on 110 million YouTube views. At one point it was the most Shazamed song in the world. His achievements keep on multiplying week in and week out. The song recently reached platinum status in Italy, where Cristiano Ronaldo plays his football. To enjoy the fruits of his labour, Master KG just bought himself a new BMW that costs about R1 million rands.

Master KG and Nomcebo recently teamed up on another track titled Xola Moya Wam. The song has been gaining a lot of traction, with some fans saying that it could supersede Jerusalema.

To focus on his flourishing music career Master KG recently split from his long time partner Makhadzi who is also enjoying a flourishing music career. This came as a shock to their fans as they hoped the couple who date for longer and eventually get married. At one point Makhadzi and Master KG were our favourite couple.
