SAA waiting for funding to pay technical staff

South African Airways (SAA) is waiting for funding so that it can pay technical staff.

The workers picketed on Monday, saying they received only half their pay, while management received full paid.

“No one can discount the concerns raised by the workers here. However, under the circumstances, management is doing the best it can to give workers or employees, something on the basis that they should be able to sustain their lives and livelihoods,” said spokesperson, Tlali Tlali.

SAA owes its technical company R90-million.
