The Queen fans are probably perplexed at the news that their favourite character is making his return to the popular Mzansi Magic telenovela.
In a dramatic twist of events, SK Khoza who plays the rebellious and satirical Shaka Khoza will be returning back from the dead after he was killed off by his brother Kagiso.
When news of his departure broke, anguished fans started a petition to bring him back or try and overturn the production’s decision. However, confirming the news of his exit, Shaka who was on the telenovela since its inception, said that chapter was closed.
The head of PR and Publicity for Mzansi Magic, Philly Kubheka broke the news on Twitter and joked that he might return as a ghost.

At the time of his exit, The Fergusons were scrutinized for allegedly exploiting their actors. Speculations were thrown around on what could be the cause of his sudden exit. Many thought SK was part of the group of actors to bash the production company after being unfairly dismissed, however, he was said to continue with the production house on another drama series called Kings Of Joburg.
Avid viewers of The Queen can also expect some major twists and turns as 2 new additions to the telenovela are set to shake things up. Former Isibaya actors Jessica Nkosi and Menzi Ngubane will be joining the cast. This comes after the actors left Isibaya around the same time.

In a statement, Khubeka said that the introduction of South African legendary actors will bring authenticity to the telenovela.
“One of the reasons that this imaginative South African drama series captured the hearts and minds of the Mzansi Magic audience is because of its diverse and impeccable talent.
“We are excited that one of the channel’s most loved telenovela’s is set to feature South African legends as they showcase their craft and add even greater authenticity and flavour to the story,” he said.
SK Khoza has not said anything as yet about his return, as fans pester him for answers, he instead talked about ‘seeing Shona Ferguson on set soon’ for the shooting of Kings Of Joburg.
