Residents of an informal settlement in Shallcross, Durban have been sent a water tanker, after protesting over food parcels and water on Sunday. The local councillor has urged residents to apply to Sassa for food parcels.
Residents blocked Link Road in protest; demanding water, which they say they haven’t had in over a week.
The residents are also concerned about the risk of contracting COVID-19 without facilities to maintain their hygiene. Coronavirus Hotline Number: 0800 029 999 from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday
