NSFAS staff to go on strike

Hundreds of staff at the National Financial Aid Scheme are expected to strike on Monday.

They are upset about the non-payment of bonuses and allege victimisation. Negotiations between the workers and management have failed.

Staff affiliated to Nehawu will hand over a memorandum to Higher Education Minister, Blade Nzimande. Management says the strike will not hamper students applying for loans for next year.

First to perform on stage was Nolo with his mother’s favourite high school track ‘Let’s groove’ by Earth Wind fire. Somizi said it was a great performance.
