This is not a drill. Manchester United have strung back-to-back away wins together for the first time this season. The Reds were actually good value for all three points today – though it has to be said that Norwich City was incredibly poor.
Anyway, it’s nice to see United shoot up to seventh in the league table as the 20-time Premier League champions now have the chance to string a little run of victories together.
Against the Canaries, there weren’t many poor performances. For us, the one standout was Fred. The £50million man has struggled since making the move to England – but quietly, the Brazilian is putting in some decent performances.
He won a penalty today, was his usual aggressive self and was actually playing some nice passes into his teammates. Alright, this is the least we’d expect, but he really stepped up in Paul Pogba’s absence.
After the game, United fans reacted in their droves on social media in regards to the display, with one going as far as saying that it was the 26-year-old’s best performance in Reds colours.
Hopefully, this is the start of a real turnaround in fortunes for Fred as we’d all know just how desperately United need a high-level midfielder. For now, enjoy the best tweets from the supporters:
Come on, Fred needs to be praised today, he was excellent even though he made a couple of mistakes. More love for Fred. #Mufc pic.twitter.com/ahKwfwNvDo

This will go unnoticed but Fred was decent today.

Fred is quietly putting together a run of decent performances. Needs to cut out the odd moment of laxness, but very good today.
