SA Churchgoers urged to stay at home on Christmas Day

South African Council of Churches has urged churchgoers to stay at home on Christmas Day.

SACC says the times call for caution and responsibility.

Reverend Mzwandile Molo from SACC says people should follow COVID-19 regulations if they wish to go to church.

“As a community, we must make sure we do not allow ourselves to be a spreader of the virus,” Reverend Molo said.

“We know by tradition we gather in large numbers when we worship but the time we live in calls to caution and responsibility. And also call on us to make sure there is nothing we do that will endanger our people and their lives.”
