Pearl Thusi has revealed her latest gig as the face of Lays’ Japanese Teriyaki Chicken Flavour chips. The most recent advert, shared on her social media, saw her indulging in the savoury treat, whilst her oldest daughter, Thando, made a cameo as she threw rose petals on her mom’s head.
Whilst many praised the mother-daughter duo for their performance, many questioned Pearl’s ethics of promoting a product which allegedly tastes awful. Follower began dragging her in the comment section, stating that she chose to take on the huge sponsorship, whilst lying about the taste of the chips.
Pearl chose to respond with some witty clap backs as she defended the brand, whilst insisting that she did in fact love the taste. Aphiwe Mduli commented with, “That aftertaste *sick face*”, and received a reply from Pearl which stated, “I don’t have that problem.
I’ll buy you juice and champagne and water when we eat them together ne?”. Another follower stated, “They tasted and smelled like two minute noodles.”, to which Pearl responded with, “You must be eating some really amazing noodles.
