Former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Tebow (née Nel-Peters) is back in South Africa, and this time she is on another mission to change the world for the better… The beauty queen – who is married to former US football star Tim Tebow and stays in Florida – is visiting the country as part of the couple’s plans to build a home for abandoned babies.
The couple, who work under the Tim Tebow Foundation, made the announcement on Instagram.
Tim Tebow shared pictures of his wife Demi-Leigh visiting a site in South Africa that will house abandoned and orphaned babies.
He wrote: “While Demi’s been in South Africa, she had the chance to stop by a pretty special place – Our home for abandoned babies that’s almost finished! So grateful for everyone who supported my birthday campaign to help build a home for these amazing children.
Demi-Leigh is also using her time in South Africa to spend time with loved ones, including her parents and her grandmother, who recently turned 84 years old.
Sharing a picture of her stop at home, she captioned the image of her overlooking a beautiful sunset: “Daar’s niks soos n Afrika sonsak om jou hart vol te pak. En n bietjie bos vir sielskos. Dis lekker by die huis [There is nothing like an African sunset to fill your heart. And a little veld for soul food. It’s nice at home.
