A video showing South African Police Services members searching personal bags has gone viral. The video was shared to Twitter by journalist, Sihle Mlambo who could not believe his eyes. South Africans were in agreement with Mlambo as they felt the search violated rights.
A 10-second clip showing South African Police Officers searching bags has raised concerns with South Africans. The video was shared on Twitter by journalist Sihle Mlambo who seemed just as shocked as everyone else.
Mlambo shared the video on Thursday and it gained thousands of views in a matter of hours. Many believe that the police officers are searching for the bags to ensure that alcohol is not being transported.
However, South Aficans are still frustrated that the bags are being searched in the first place.
Take a look at Mlambo’s tweets below:
Can someone challenge Bheki Cele, NDZ and Cyril Ramaphosa on that transporting alcohol regulation in court. People are being humiliated in the quest for a Savanna six pack and three Heineken quartz. Really?

They’re doing it everywhere and to all races, the only ones not being searched are the police themselves with the confiscated liquor
