COVID-19 in SA: Death toll has passed 43,000

The COVID-19 death toll in the country has passed the 43,000 mark. This after 555 new deaths were recorded.

Just over 7,000 people have been infected with COVID-19, bringing the total number of active cases to over 122,000.

KwaZulu-Natal continues to be the province with the highest number of active COVID-19 cases with over 45,000.

It is followed by the Western Cape with over 18,000 cases. Gauteng is in the third position with just over 17,000 cases.
