Soweto Mandlanzi who wrote book exposing details about Senzo Meyiwa’s death fears for his life

Author of Decoding 666-9 fears for his life, Soweto Mandlanzi has been receiving threat messages ever since he started working on the book Decoding 666-9 which entails Senzo Meyiwa’s life.

Soweto had received the blessings to go ahead and write the book from Sam Meyiwa, Senzo’s father. The former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper was killed at the home of his then-girlfriend Kelly Khumalo.

Soweto Mandlazi the author of Senzo Meyiwa’s Biography fears for his life, he commented:

“l remember there was a newspaper that somehow found out that l was working on the book and they published an article with that information. The threat messages started coming in from then. l even shared this with the Meyiwas. At some point, there was a guy who came up to me as l got out of my car he was wearing a hoodie hiding his identity. The hooded guy clearly told me to stop all this book nonsense or a series of unfortunate events will befall me”.

The author and motivational speaker received more threat messages through social media. The initial idea of the threat messages was to stop the release of the book for clear reasons, to make people forget about the unsolved murder case of Senzo Meyiwa.

Soweto Mandlazi went on to get the book published an implacable book that is. The idea of the book was to keep Senzo Meyiwa’s legacy alive since there seemed to be no hope in his killers being found. Soweto Mandlazi has made it clear that with the new revelations being made on the case he does not know what this case holds for him will it be more threats or he should brace himself for anything.

Six years after the murder of Senzo Meyiwa, 5 suspects appeared in Boksburg Magistrate court on charges related to Senzo’s murder. The five were named, Muzikawulahlelwa Sibiya, Bongani Sandiso Ntanzi, Mthobisi Prince Mncube, Mthokosizi Maphisa, and SifikuhleNkani Ntuli Sifiso.
