COVID-19: 1,092 new cases recorded

The cumulative number of detected COVID-19 cases in South Africa is 717,851 with 1,092 new infections identified since the last report.

There have been 45 additi 8 hours. South Africa’s COVID-19 death toll has increased to 19,053.

The Health Department extended its condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thanked the healthcare workers that treated the deceased patients.

SA’s recoveries stand at 647,833, which translates to a 90% recovery rate.
