Democratic Alliance (DA) to announce New leader

The Democratic Alliance will announce who will lead the party into the future.

Mbali Ntuli and John Steenhuisen faced off on the first day of the DA’s virtual congress.

Months after Mmusi Maimane’s exit from the DA, Ntuli has made it clear that his ideas are still live-on.

“I don’t think that disagreements, or seeing things differently, is a bad thing,” Ntuli said.

“The idea of diversity as part of our principles is the one that should be cherished the most, as the DA. I want to move our party into a place where everybody feels that they equal ability to say where they believe the DA should be going and how we should be talking to voters on the ground.”

Steenhuisen took over from Maimane and says he will continue steadying the ship.

“I reaffirm my deep commitment to restoring discipline, including message discipline. We must stop talking only to ourselves and we must stop talking to the media about our internal party matters. From now on, every single DA member must focus only on the voters., all of them,” Steenhuisen said.

Voting for the new DA leader wrapped up on Saturday afternoon and the results of the leadership election are expected on Sunday afternoon.

Rich Soweto man divorced by his 2 wives who didn’t feel his little pen!s during S.e.x

He is a big man with a big bank balance and a big house. But he’s got a tiny 4-5 like a boy in primary school! BOTH HIS WIVES HAVE LEFT HIM BECAUSE HIS LITTLE PEN!S JUST DIDN’T DO IT FOR THEM!

“I’ve been married twice, and both my wives left for the same reason,” said the 45-year-old from Meadowlands in Soweto.

“They told me my 4-5 was too small!” he said.

The man said this has destroyed his self-esteem.

He said: “I’m afraid of women. When I walk in the streets I feel they’re all looking at me and laughing at my manhood I don’t know why God punished me like this.”

He is loaded and has money, cars, and a house.

“But I can’t satisfy any woman in the bedroom,” he said.

He asked not to be photographed, but he trusted the SunTeam with his secret.

He wept as he talked bout the problem of his small 4-5.

“I need help. I’ve tried all the Western ways, but they didn’t help. I need someone who uses traditional herbs to bring back my dignity,” he said.

He said he heard that planting a special tree would grow his 4-5, but he’s been to Limpopo to look for a tree, but didn’t find one.

He married his first wife in 2010.

“We dated and got married immediately. She said she was a virgin and wanted s.e.x only after marriage.

“That suited me. I thought a v!rgin wouldn’t notice, but after two years she left.”

His second wife left last year.

“We met in 2018. I told her about my problem, and she said love conquers all.

But love doesn’t conquer all. Later she insulted me,” he said.

Women throw themselves at him because of his possessions.

“But there comes a time when he can’t hide the truth in his underpants forever.

“I always chase them away.”

His most recent ex-wife said he is a good man who needs help.

“No woman is going to stay for that.

“I tried my best, but failed.”

Sangoma Jabulani Mthimunye said many sangomas can give you imbiza to last longer in bed.

“But they can’t grow it,” he said.

Rescuers race to find Turkey earthquake survivors, 27 dead

Rescuers raced against the clock Saturday to save people buried under rubble as hundreds spent a terrifying night in tents after a powerful earthquake claimed 27 lives in Turkey and Greece.

The 7.0 magnitude quake killed 25 people and injured 804 on Turkey’s western coast after it struck on Friday afternoon, with its epicentre off the coastal town of Seferihisar in Izmir province.

Also killing two teenagers on their way home from school in Greece, it caused a mini-tsunami on the Aegean island of Samos and a sea surge that turned streets into rushing rivers in one Turkish coastal town.

In Bayrakli, Turkish families and friends looked on in agony, exhaustion and hope as workers painstakingly went through the rubble of two buildings which were completely flattened by the quake.

Just five minutes across town, worried crowds watched as a black bag was taken away from another collapsed building in the early hours of Saturday.

“Let me see who it is!” one man shouted.

In small green spaces close to the damaged buildings, the municipality set up large white tents for the survivors while the health ministry’s medical rescue teams offered smaller tents for frightened families.

Throughout the night, hot soup and water were available for those waiting outside as the temperature fell.

Azize Akkoyun watched as the rescuers worked. Those curtains, they belonged to my daughter’s in-laws,” Akkoyun told AFP, as she waited for news.

“We will wait all night. God willing they will come out alive,” she said, adding they were unable to reach them by phone.
Residents said Bayrakli, with a population of more than 300,000, was a fast-developing district with new buildings popping up on the outskirts of the Aegean resort city of Izmir.

A few steps away, the smashing of concrete, heavy machinery and dust filled the air except for the moments when everything stopped in the hope of hearing a longed-for call for help from a survivor.

As Cemalettin Enginyurt, 51, and his family settled inside their white tent, he described feeling “helpless”.

The retired soldier said his family’s home suffered “serious” cracks and he feared people being unable to tell if their homes were fit to return to.

“As it currently is and with the risk of aftershocks, we decided the solution was to stay outside. Izmir has a mild climate, we’ll be alright in the short term but we’re not sure about the long term,” he said.

Hope grew that more survivors could be found following reports in state media of a 53-year-old and 62-year-old rescued some 17 hours after the quake.

The government’s disaster agency AFAD said 100 people have been pulled out alive.

The latest disaster will renew fears over when Istanbul will be hit by a big earthquake after the devastating 7.4-magnitude one in 1999 in Izmit, western Turkey.

Some 17,000 people died then, including 1,000 in Istanbul.

This is the second powerful earthquake to hit Turkey this year, after one in the eastern city of Elazig killed more than 30 people in January. According to the government’s disaster agency, 743 of those injured were in Izmir with the rest in nearby Aydin, Manisa and Balikesir provinces.

The earthquake was felt as far away as Athens and Istanbul. There were 470 aftershocks following the quake including 35 that were above four in magnitude, AFAD reported.

Nermin Yeni, 56, was at home cooking when disaster struck. “I quickly went outside, I collapsed,” Yeni said outside a tent in a park because she could not return to her home.

A family nearby burned what they could in a metal can to keep themselves warm. Some were not so fortunate and slept in only a sleeping bag outside or huddled in their cars.

Describing the moment the quake hit, Huseyin Sarac said he and his family were “extremely tense, everyone was crying.”

When he spoke to AFP, he was looking for another tent for the family with the first already full with his mother, father, uncle and sisters

3 appear in court for alleged tax fraud totalling R8.2 million

Three people have appeared in court on fraud charges after they allegedly submitted false and fraudulent tax return claims to SARS on behalf of their companies.

Harisi Bukari, 45, Kudzaishe Jamescai Magura, 41, and Christel Pillay, 44, appeared in the Palm Ridge Specialised Commercial Crimes Court on charges of tax fraud on Thursday.

According to police spokesperson Captain Ndivhuwo Mulamu, Bukari, the director at Mark Two Electronics in Johannesburg, allegedly submitted fraudulent tax return claims for the period 2010 to 2014. SARS allegedly suffered a loss of more than R2.6 million.

Pillay, who was based at another Johannesburg company, Multizone Safety Protective Wear CC, allegedly submitted more than R1 million tax return claims for the period 2011 to 2016.

Magura, a director at liquor distributor Siyabulela Trading Enterprise, allegedly submitted documents indicating that the business was not operating or accumulating any profit.

“Further investigation revealed that Magura’s company was trading and receiving remuneration for the period of 2012 to 2015. As a result, SARS allegedly suffered a loss of over R4.6 million for the tax return for the said period,” said Mulamu.

Bukari and Magura were granted bail of R10 000 and R5 000 respectively, and their cases were postponed to 13 November. Pillay was released on a warning and will appear in court again on 25 November.

UIF call centre unable to deal with massive call and email backlog

The National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Public Accounts (Scopa) – who earlier this week heard how government officials, soldiers and “dead” people looted the Unemployment Insurance Fund’s TERS Covid-19 benefit – found a backlog of 444,000 e-mails at the fund during a visit on Friday.

Scopa, joined by the Portfolio Committee on Employment and Labour on Friday, conducted an oversight visit to the UIF’s offices in Pretoria.

“Scopa is concerned with the lack of human capacity at UIF, particularly at the call centre, which is where emails, online applications and calls from the public are processed,” reads a statement from Scopa chairperson, IFP MP Mkhuleko Hlengwa.

“Scopa was informed that the call centre currently has a backlog of 444,000 emails from the public with only eight call centre agents to attend to those emails.

“It gets an average of 30,000 calls a day, but can only attend to 3,000 of those calls. This has a negative outcome on service delivery and on everyone that requires services from the UIF.”

The committee believes there should be a special focus on the information and communication technology department, which was responsible for the UIF’s system and which contributed to the UIF disbursing Covid-19 funds to deceased people, inmates, members of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF), South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) beneficiaries, National Students Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) beneficiaries, foreign nationals without working permits, and public servants including UIF employees.

“It is also disturbing to note that the consulting company responsible for the development of the same system could not respond to questions about weaknesses in the system. The committee wants the Department of Employment and Labour to investigate obtaining an integrated database system with other departments to avoid the kind of corruption that has happened as a result of these weaknesses.”

Scopa welcomed the consequence management process that Employment and Labour Minister Thulas Nxesi instituted in response to the corruption and irregularities at the UIF.

“Scopa remains concerned with the challenges plaguing the UIF, as it is clear that the issues run deep and date to a period before Covid-19. The pandemic has simply exposed pre-existing weaknesses,” Hlengwa said.

On Wednesday, the committee was briefed by the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) and Auditor General (AGSA) on their investigations into the UIF.

The SIU presented the following findings:

– The SIU found that R327,638 was paid through 78 exceptions to South African National Defence Force (SANDF) staff members.

– Seven inmates from the Department of Correctional Services were identified as claiming a total of R40 657.93 from the relief fund.

– “Deceased” individuals were paid TERS benefits totalling R441,144.34, which represented 68 deceased beneficiaries making use of 72 bank accounts.

– A total of 6,140 government officials were identified as having claimed a total of R41,009 737.70 from the relief fund.

Sizwe Dhlomo Speaks on Never Having Kids

Controversial media personality, Sizwe Dhlomo, has ruffled some feathers on Twitter today, 30 October 2020, after he unintentionally made a bad joke, which a fan categorised as a “dad joke”. Taking the insult like a jump, the radio host explained that he has a catalogue of Dad jokes at his disposal, and he wasn’t afraid to pull them out at any given moment.

Sizwe Dhlomo

The conversation then turned to Tweeps complimenting him by saying that they could see him being a good father one day and that seeing as though he will soon be 40-years-old, he should probably be thinking about starting a family. One follower went as far as questioning him about his timeline and claimed that his biological clock was ticking. Sizwe responded with, “Personally, I’m alright with that. What you may want to ask yourself though, is why you’re so concerned with matters of my nuts

Sizwe being Sizwe, didn’t leave it there, he went on to express his views on having children and bluntly stated that there was no point in having kids. He tweeted, “If we’re being honest, there’s no good reason to have a kid. I’m not saying it’s wrong or shouldn’t be done, kodwa ayikho i-need. Waar!”. Fans tried him to persuade him to think differently and felt that if he had a child, perhaps his views would change.

Sizwe Dhlomo

The start went on to clarify that although he might have kids in the future, he stands by his opinion which is… there is no good reason. He said, “Nobody said they don’t bring joy to your life & grow you as a person. My sister has twins for example & I love them dearly, I’m so glad she had them. I also will have kids. I’m just saying there’s no good reason though. I will, after I get married. I was just saying if we were to justify it logically, kuyabheda.”

The comments began escalating quickly, with many accusing him of being a disappointment to his fans, as his tweets suggested the people should merely not have children. Some suggested that knowing Sizwe, he would soon tell his followers to sue their parents for having them, as they didn’t ask to be born. He then posed a question, “Well, since you brought that up… If you were asked before being born if you wanted to come here & they outlined everything you’d face as well as the circumstances you’d be born under. How would you have answered?”.

Suffice to say, Sizwe is sticking to his guns on this one, and time will tell if future Daddy Sizwe will ever change his mind.

Labour Dept denies setting aside funds to thank farm workers for working during lockdown

The department of employment and labour in Limpopo has dismissed rumours the government has set aside funds to thank farmworkers for working during the lockdown.

In a statement on Friday, the department warned the public not to entertain the false claims.

The department said the rumours of the supposed payment started when inspectors were conducting inspections.

During the inspections, the department said they came across workers threatening to go on strike because they were demanding a risk allowance for having worked during the lockdown on a number of farms around the Phalaborwa Mopani district.

Provincial chief inspector Phaswane Tladi said the department only made funds available to those who could not work during the lockdown.

“In terms of the regulations, the department only has the Temporary Employee Relief Scheme (TERS) through the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) that was made available for employers and employees who could not work during lockdown.”

Tladi said there were workers who made demands to employers to either thank them for having worked during lockdown or pay them a danger allowance.

“Unfortunately, this is not in the current prescript of the law.”

He further said, however, the department could not interfere with arrangements between an employer and employee on such incentives, nor force employers to pay such benefits.

“We urge workers to refrain from participating in such unprotected strikes that may possibly lead to loss of employment.

“At all times, workers are advised to enquire with relevant authorities when there are misunderstandings.

“Our officials are available and ready to guide them before they embark on unprotected strikes based on hearsay and rumour,” said Tladi.

Angelo Agrizzi’s defence confident he won’t evade trial

Lawyers for Angelo Agrizzi said he won’t forfeit his bail because he has no intention of evading trial.

The Johannesburg High Court granted him bail on Friday with judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng saying the ruling by Magistrate Philip Venter is flawed and should be set aside.

The former Bosasa COO is accused of fraud and corruption alongside former parliamentarian Vincent Smith.

Agrizzi is said to be gravely ill and was this week removed from a ventilator but remains on life support.

His lawyers said it’s been a long two weeks with him in prison.

Attorney David Witz said, “We’re very happy, we had many sleepless nights. It’s has been a long 2 weeks. We got the result we set out to achieve.”

Agrizzi’s bail is conditional upon him furnishing the state with the title deed to his property in Italy worth about R16 million.

Witz said this is a hefty price to pay.

“Mr Agrizzi is here to see this to the end, he will see the trial to the end, and hopefully we can achieve a case of not guilty as we believe we have a very strong case.”

Agrizzi and Smith are due in the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court in December.

Prophet Bushiri has diplomatic passport but is not a diplomat, court hears

The State in the fraud case of self-proclaimed prophet Shepherd Bushiri, his wife Mary, and their three co-accused revealed that the Bushiris hold diplomatic passports, but they are not accredited diplomats.

The five were applying for bail at the Pretoria Magistrates Court.

They are facing charges of money laundering and fraud amounting to more than R102 million.

Friday was a day of revelations against the Bushiris.

The court heard that the couple misled authorities about their living arrangements in South Africa.

The State prosecutor read an affidavit from the investigating officer.

“A number of investigations showed that some of these members obtained their visas in an illegal manner.”

The prosecution said it’s opposing bail as the five accused pose an extreme flight risk.

They said the accused intimidated and bribed witnesses paying up to R500,000.

The five will spend another weekend at the Kgosi Mampuru Correctional Centre.

They are back in court on Monday for the continuation of the bail application.

Eskom suffers loss of R20 billion

Eskom has suffered a loss of R20.5 billion, with the power utility also battling a massive debt it is trying to shed.

The company presented its financial results on Friday, where it posted a second loss in a row, after the 2019 financial year saw the entity incurring a loss.

In a statement, Eskom said this was a tough trading period and it had to keep its operations running. It said it had increased its maintenance programme.

The results by Eskom come after Finance Minister Tito Mboweni said in his Medium Term Budget Policy Statement that the power utility remained a fiscal risk.

The minister had identified several key state-owned entities as a financial risk to the economy.

President Cyril Ramaphosa also said two years ago that if the state entities did not strengthen their balance sheets, they would remain dependent on the government to stay in business.

He said this was not workable and entities must beef up their capacity and strengthen their business.

Eskom has been split into three entities for generation, distribution and transmission.

It said it has pushed for the maintenance of its power stations. The country has in the past few months been hit by load shedding.

“Operationally, Eskom ramped up its reliability maintenance programme of its ageing fleet of coal-fired power stations in the period, which contributed to load shedding increasing to 46 days. Coal stockpiles were significantly improved to a normalised average of 50 days, from 36 days the previous year,” said Eskom.

Chief executive Andre de Ruyter said they would contain coal costs now after the expensive short-term contracts came to an end.

“The urgent need to procure coal during the crisis late in 2018 also resulted in higher prices having to be paid to secure supply.

’’The bulk of these expensive short-term contracts have now come to an end, and we expect our coal cost increase for the current financial year to be contained well below inflation,” said De Ruyter.

Actress Ntando Duma Throws Her Mom a Surprise Birthday Party – Pictures

South African media personality, Ntando Duma, won daughter-of-the-week after she threw her mother a lavish, yet casual, surprise party. The proud daughter called upon her go-to events coordinating company, Nono Events, to set up for the soirée, which was surprising thrown in her bedroom.

 Ntando Duma

Ntando shared visuals of the magical day, showing her mother’s emotional reaction to the surprise. Pink and white flowers filled the entire bedroom floor, as well as candles that were spread sporadically throughout the room. She captioned the post with, “Pulled up a surprise bedroom birthday party for moms @kayise_zulu yesterday and I’M HAPPY!”.

 Ntando Duma

Aside from the messages of praise she received from fans for her effort to make her mom’s birthday special, Ntando’s choice of jewellery grabbed most of the attention. Fans noticed that she was wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring on her left hand, and if that wasn’t enough… the ring appeared to be cushioned with a wedding band.

Leading up into the room, rose petals were scattered on the stairs, and once again complemented by a variety of candles to add to the romantic ambience. Large bouquets of flours were hung on the balustrade and pink lighting was shone throughout the apartment to create a s.e.xy mood.

 Ntando Duma

Whilst everyone speculated that it was an engagement, Ntando Duma, put the engagement rumours to rest once and for all, and has dispelled any thoughts about her man becoming her… fiancé! The actress took to Twitter on Sunday, 18 October 2020 to once again gush about the mystery guy, simply stating, “It’s my boyfriend for me.” Many of her fans quickly noticed that she had referenced to him as her “boyfriend”, which indicated that the grand gesture given to her last week was NOT a proposal!

Leave Prophet Bushiri alone or die in a car accident – Ghanaian prophet warns Pastor Mboro: Video

A self-proclaimed prophet from Ghana has warned Incredible happenings Church leader Mapaseka ‘Mboro’ Motsoeneng to stay away from Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) church leader Shepherd Bushiri or face death.

In a recent interview with Ghana TV, the man who identified himself as Eagle Prophet told Mboro that if he continues to speak against Bushiri, he would die in a car accident.

He added that he, however, did not want Mboro to die, but to suffer injuries that would teach him a lesson.

He said: “There is a prophet called Mboro. Mboro, listen to me: either you leave prophet Bushiri alone or you die through car accident. I’m warning you, Mboro, you your own will be a fatal accident. I pray you will not die, but the scars and the injuries that will come on your body will be a clear indication that you are touching what God has to touch.

“Stop fighting prophet Bushiri, if you continue to do that, man of God, my name is Eagle Prophet, I’m in Ghana, to be specific, West Africa. If you know the spiritualities and the kingdom set-up, I’m just telling you, and God says I have to warn you: stay away from prophet Bushiri or face the judgement of a car accident. Either you lose your life or feel the pain of injuries.”

Watch the video below shared on Ghana TV’s YouTube channel:

But Mboro said he was no longer fighting with Bushiri, and said he has been in talks with the Malawian pastor’s family in an attempt to fix things between the two.

“There are peaceful talks between Mboro and the family of Major 1 on how to fix things between us. Today I’m just going to let things be, I won’t be praying hard against his bail or whatever. If things go well you will see us both talking to you.”

He further slammed the Ghanaian self-proclaimed prophet and told him he would not die.

“You’re a small boy. My issue with Major 1 is none of your business. Stupid. I’m not easily intimidated. No accident will come to my life. you won’t succeed. I terminate your power in the name of Jesus. The gods of Ghana will never take my life. I terminate you and break you. I’ve done extraordinary miracles for the past 37 years. There is no one who will use the name of God to kill men of God. There is a God in South Africa,” he said in a video shared on his Facebook page.

Motsoeneng said he had to “terminate certain powers in the spirit” to create an atmosphere that would make it possible for Bushiri and his wife Mary to be arrested.

Bushiri handed himself over to the Hawks after Mary was arrested on 19 October, the church’s spokesperson Ephraim Nyondo confirmed.

In a statement on Tuesday, Nyondo said the Hawks’ attorneys had requested the couple to discuss an investment in connection to Rising Estate, which is an international property investment and development company.

“The Hawks informed lawyers of our leaders, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and Prophetess Mary Bushiri, late Monday afternoon that they are requesting the couple to go to their office by 11:00 am accompanied by their lawyers to discuss an issue concerning an investment pertaining to a company called Rising Estate,” he said.

Nyondo continued to say: “The Prophet and lawyers were getting prepared for the 11 am appointment when the Hawks went to their house before the appointment and arrested the Prophet’s wife alone.

“The Prophet is on his way to the Hawks office to hand over himself. He believes in the justice system of the country and he will abide to all that the law compels until all this war is done.

“As the matter is still currently under criminal investigation, we have been advised not to discuss this matter any further,” he said.

The couple will spend their second weekend in jail after their bail application was reserved for Monday.

Schools are ready for one million matrics to write exams, says Umalusi

Umalusi, the council for quality assurance in general and further education and training reported Friday morning on schools’ readiness to administer and manage the November matric examinations.

Umalusi CEO Dr Mafu Rakometsi acknowledged they had encountered difficulty in conducting quality assurance, but with proper planning, they had been able to overcome the challenges. “This has been a peculiar year for many sectors, including the education sector,” Ramoketsi says.

In total, there are a little more than one million candidates who will sit their final exams from 5 November 2020.

Umalusi assessed the readiness of schools in three assessment bodies; the Department of Basic Education (DBE), the Independent Examination Board (IEB), and the South African Comprehensive Assessment Institute (SAICA).

This large number alone has required an extension of exam centres, invigilators, and markers.

For the department of basic education, there are 10 593 exam centres across the country. This is due to the large number of people who will be sitting for their final exams and ensuring social distancing requirements are followed. More invigilators have also been recruited.

Marker recruitment is ongoing and schools are recruiting more markers for subjects where shortages have been identified. Marking will begin in January 2021 and results released in February.

Umalusi is happy with the IEB and DBE and SAICA’s control measures for printing, packaging, and the delivery of question papers.

Umalusi also reports the systems for mark capturing are ready, although challenges were identified.

State pushes for Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary not to be granted bail

The state in the case of the Enlightened Christian Gathering church leader and self-proclaimed prophet, Shepherd Bushiri, his wife Mary and three others has argued that they should not be granted bail.

The couple together with Lindiwe and Ntlokwana William as well as Mary Mudola are appearing in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court for bail application following their arrest over a week ago.

Prophet Shepherd Bushiri

They face charges of fraud to the value of R102 million, money laundering and the contravention of the Prevention of Organised Crime Act.

Members of the church lost their monies after they joined an investment scheme through one of the couple’s entities, which promised 50% returns in two months.

Prophetess Mary Bushiri and Shepherd

The state says the accused may attempt to evade trial, interfere and intimidate witnesses should they be granted bail.

The state alleges the Bushiris have misled the court by providing false information to the court.
It says the couple lied about living with their two children in South Africa full time, whereas they reside and go to school in Malawi, where the pair originates.

The court has also heard of how Bushiri might interfere with witnesses as he has allegedly done on previous occasions.

His legal team is also accused of intimidating state witnesses in his previous court matters.

The state says there’s a pattern of cases involving Bushiri being withdrawn, including his recent rape case.

Meanwhile, accused number one, Mudolo is alleged to have attempted to flee South African borders on three occasions since the relaxation of COVID-19 regulations.

He was arrested in September at the OR Tambo airport on his way to Dubai.

Kanye West pens open letter about America’s future ahead of election

Rapper Kanye West has taken out a political advert in the New York Times days ahead of the 2020 presidential election.

His open letter, titled “Dear Future”, envisions how the future of America should be. With the election only a few days away, presidential candidate Kanye West is rapidly spreading his message of an optimistic future with potential voters,” a press release states.

“West is both poetic and promising in his words, saying he knows the ‘world is going to get better’.”

The “Jesus Is Lord” rapper writes: “Dear Future, I still believe in you. We still believe in you. Even in our darkest moments, We
West, 43, adds that “we” — presumably Americans — believe in “world at peace,” “our people,” and “our families.”

The practising Christian, who launched his own gospel music gathering, Sunday Service, also said: “We will see families anchoring on faith. Our future holds a better America.”

Kanye West

“Our future will provide expecting families with a safe and secure plan that values every stage of life,” West continued.

“Our future will provide a justice system that treats everyone equally regardless of their socio-economic status. Our future will provide an education system that promotes freedom and visionary thinking.

““Our happy, healthy future looks like the new Garden of Eden with children running and the elderly brimming with joy on how beautiful our world has become. Our future has homes for everyone.”

His letter again addressed his faith, stating: “Jesus loves everyone. When I close my eyes, I see our God providing us with a bright future.

“I feel like a kid the night before Christmas when I think about our future.”

West concluded: “God is love. Let’s lead with love. Our future is waiting on us.”

The open letter was accompanied by a campaign video of the Yeezy CEO standing in front of a black-and-white American flag, in which he asked: “What is just? True justice?”

He once again reiterated his religious beliefs as a foundation of his political efforts.

“We as a people will revive our nation’s commitment to faith to what our constitution calls the free exercise of religion including, of course, prayer,” West said in the clip, paid for by the Kanye 2020 campaign.

“Through prayer, faith can be restored. We, as a people, are called to greater service than ourselves.”

West concluded in the ad: “I am Kanye West and I approve this message,” alongside text that read, “Vote Kanye West. Write in Kanye West.”

West announced he was running for US president in July under the newly formed “Birthday Party”.
