Chrissy Teigen and John Legend reveal heartbreaking news that they have lost their baby

Chrissy Teigen has revealed she and husband John Legend have lost their baby, days after she was admitted to the hospital with heavy bleeding.

The 34-year-old model shared the heartbreaking news on social media on Wednesday night, saying their little boy ‘Jack’ died following complications.

Chrissy Teigen

‘We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough,’ Teigan said.

Chrissy Teigen
Teigen was hospitalized on Sunday night after enduring a month of bleeding due to having a weak placenta and has remained at the hospital since.

She continued: ‘We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack.
So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever.’

Chrissy and John revealed in the music video for John’s new single Wild that they were expecting their third child together, a son.
In undoubtedly the most heartbreaking portion of Teigen’s caption, the model penned a message to her unborn son Jack.

‘To our Jack – I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you,’ she wrote.

‘Thank you to everyone who has been sending us positive energy, thoughts and prayers. We feel all of your love and truly appreciate you.

‘We are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things we’ve been able to experience.
But everyday can’t be full of sunshine. On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it,’ concluded Chrissy.

Teigen and Legend, who wed in 2013, are parents to daughter Luna, four, and son Miles, two.

Shortly after uploading her undeniably sad news to Instagram, Chrissy took to her Twitter page to further express her shock.

‘Driving home from the hospital with no baby. How can this be real,’ she wrote.
The four photos uploaded to Chrissy’s Instagram paint a heartbreaking scene, with one of the pictures showing Chrissy crying and cradling Jack in her arms as John leaned next to them.

Another featured Chrissy sobbing as she held her hands to her face and sat at the edge of her hospital bed in nothing but a blanket and a bonnet.

Domestic travel is thriving as KZN welcomes local visitors

In order to draw attention to rural tourism development, Tourism KwaZulu-Natal embraced the theme “Tourism and Rural Development” for Tourism Month.

To usher in the return of leisure travel to the province, MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Nomusa Dube-Ncube, visited attractions throughout the length and breadth of KZN, making pit stops at Emazizini Village in Northern Drakensberg and KwaXolo Caves in KwaZulu-Natal South Coast.

“Tourism Month has been an exciting month for us and it is amazing to see that our sector is regaining its liveliness and vibrancy,” said Nomsa-Dube.

“As domestic tourism is now fully opened, we are thrilled to see more and more people enjoying our tourism offerings. We are also ready to start welcoming international guests as more borders are due to open soon with further easing of lockdown regulations.”

The Heritage Day long weekend also provided the opportunity for people who spent several months under house arrest to get out and explore.

Tourism bodies have reported a welcome increase in bookings and said if this trend continued, then the “house full” signs could well be up during the year-end vacation season.

Nathi Nkomzwayo, CEO of Enterprise iLembe Economic Development Agency said: “By all accounts this past long weekend was a bumper one which is a great relief for the tourism sector and the economy as a whole.

“The average occupancy reported was at around 90 percent in comparison to last year which was between 70-80 percent.”

Lee Zama, CEO of Federated Hospitality Association of Southern Africa (FEDHASA) said: “Since the opening of inter-provincial travel, there has been good leisure travel activity over the long weekend.

“KZN, especially Durban, are leading the way in providing growth in the tourism sector, when compared to other provinces.”

6th suspect taken into custody over R255 million Free State asbestos project

A sixth person has been arrested in connection with the controversial R255m Free State Corruption Case.

Hawks national spokesperson, Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi, confirmed the arrest on Wednesday evening.

He said the Hawks have effectively arrested six suspects during a simultaneous operation in the Free State, Kwazulu-Natal, and Gauteng on allegations of fraud and corruption in relation to the 2014 Free State Asbestos Project.

“Among those arrested are three senior government officials, three businessmen, and five companies. The accused face 60 charges which include corruption, fraud, money laundering in contravention of the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act as well as Contravention of the Public Finance Management Act,” he said.

Mulaudzi said the arrests emanate from a joint investigation by the Free State Serious Corruption Investigation, Special Investigating Unit (SIU), and the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA).

“This followed a referral from the SIU under Proclamation R39 of 2019, which led to the subsequent criminal investigation by the Hawks who worked closely with the NPA and its various units.

The allegations relate to a contract that was awarded through a procurement process that was done in a fraudulent and corrupt manner,” he said.

He said in addition, certain public officials received gratification from the contracted company and/or an individual amounting to several counts of corruption.

“The contract was meant to identify and remove asbestos roofs in the Free State province and failed to conduct due diligence process before participating in the contract.

It is alleged that the Provincial Department created an impression that they participated in a contract concluded by the Gauteng Human Settlement Department while the services were not the same as specified in the existing contract and also the price was higher in contravention of Treasury regulations,” he said.

Mulaudzi added that during the period that the department incurred unauthorized, irregular or fruitless and wasteful expenditure worth over R255 million.

He said one of the suspects from KZN is still unaccounted for in this case, a warrant of arrest in his name has already been secured. The suspects are expected to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Friday.

Mweb Fibre – your service is poor @MWEBTweets

Mweb Fibre – your service is poor. Impossible to contact you telephonically unless it is a new sale it seems.

Not a happy customer and we have been tossed around from teller to teller. Ordered Mweb Fibre on the 14th August 2020 and nothing happened until 21 September 2020 when an SMS was sent saying your service is Active.

After calling Mweb to say there is no Fibre at the Address we had just moved to, we got a call from Vumatel. There was even a follow-up SMS.

” Good day

The Vumatel maintenance team assigned to Ticket ISP-215313 will be visiting your property on 2020-09-22 at 9:00:00 am to investigate the issue further.

Kind regards – The Vuma Team”

We tried calling Mweb and was put through their technical department which we had to explain to someone the whole thing from when the Fibre was ordered but only to be told we are being transferred to the back office and still got no help.

We called the Billing department after receiving the statement, Billing said they can not cancel a payment only the Sales team can do that. We spoke to a “Samir” in sales who also said he can not change anything and made us hold to speak to a manager. Few minutes without connection he came back to say the manager was busy and he/she would call back. Mweb telesales is only good at only selling the products but do not care about service.

Every telesales person we spoke to sounded like they are trying to get rid of you and pass you to another. The ones you speak to who are willing to help they have no power to change anything.

When you order Mweb Fibre be prepared for bad service before anything is Active. We moved to a new place and there is no Fibre but we are paying Mweb for the Fibre that has not been installed yet. It’s been 48 hours now and still waiting for a Sales Manager from Mweb to give us a call.

President Cyril Ramaphosa calls for report on South African Air Force jet use to be made public

President Cyril Ramaphosa has directed that documentation relating to a recent visit to Zimbabwe by Minister of Defence and Military Veterans Ms Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula be made public.

According to acting spokesperson for the President, Tyrone Seale, publication of the Minister’s initial and supplementary reports to the President is informed by the President’s commitment to transparency.

According to reports, Minister Mapisa-Nqakula visited Zimbabwe on official business earlier this month. The Minister travelled on a South African Air Force (SAAF) aircraft which also conveyed senior leaders of the African National Congress (ANC).

The President has since issued the Minister with a formal reprimand for conveying the ANC delegation to Zimbabwe on an aircraft of the South African Air Force (SAAF).

Ramaphosa further sanctioned the Minister by imposing a salary sacrifice on the Minister’s salary for three months, starting from 1 November 2020.

President Cyril Ramaphosa

Her salary for the three months should be paid into the Solidarity Fund, which was established to support the country’s response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Ramaphosa has also ordered the Minister to make sure that the ANC reimburses the state for the costs of the flight to Harare and to report to him once that has been done.

“The President took this action after his consideration of the Minister’s initial report and a supplementary report that the President had directed the Minister to provide on the circumstances that led to the ANC delegation travelling on a South African Air Force plane,” Seale said.

While the Minister was on an official trip for which the President had given permission and for which she was entitled to use a SAAF aircraft, the President found that it was an error of judgment to use the plane to convey a political party delegation.

89 people from higher education institutions died from COVID-19: Minister Blade Nzimande

Minister of Higher Education and Training Blade Nzimande says by 22 September, the higher education community had lost 89 members to COVID-19. The minister says of the 89, 53 are from universities while 36 are from TVET Colleges.

69 of those who lost their lives to the virus were staff members while 20 were students.

“We mourn these losses of staff and students in our institutions and send our condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of those who have succumbed to the illness,” Nzimande said during a press briefing in Pretoria.

Higher Health

Minister Nzimande says national entity Higher Health has, through training, capacitated over 13 000 frontline staff across campuses to assist with COVID-19 response on a daily basis.

He says 3 200 student and staff volunteers have been trained and capacitated for the implementation of COVID-19 daily screening, prevention and education initiatives.

“To date, over 12 000 individuals have been trained through scientific knowledge to recognise and appropriately manage the COVID-19 pandemic within our post-school education and training sector,” Nzimande said.

Blade Nzimande

Nzimande says Higher Health has also been monitoring the COVID-19 vulnerabilities for the Post School Education and Training (PSET). This has been done through data received from the digital screening mechanism HealthCheck health tools.

“We do this through the tracking and tracing system with the Department of Health and NICD, on the positivity rate, incidence rate, infectivity rate, across all our campuses, in the PSET system,” the Minister said.

Screening

The Higher Health, through daily HealthCheck, issues out “health passport” to every student, staff and stakeholder entering campuses. This has assisted the Higher Education Department with the identification of moderate to high-risk individuals and their referral for appropriate follow-up care.

This has resulted in the following:

The administration of over 5 million HealthCheck screening.
Over 1.6 million students and staff use HealthCheck before entering campus.
The introduction of a 24-hour dedicated toll-free, higher health student mental health support service, run through a team psychologists, social workers, counsellors in support from SA Depression and Anxiety Group.
Assistance of over 500 individuals with finding solutions and averting serious, often tragic consequences of mental ill-health.

Dirco Minister Naledi Pandor’s full speech on re-opening of borders during level 1

Fellow South Africans, esteemed travellers and visitors to our beloved country and members of the media, thank you for allowing us, the Ministers tasked with immigration, tourism, health, transport and international relations and cooperation the opportunity to come before you to explain and to give necessary clarifications on how the South African borders will be reopened for international travel from 1 October 2020.

We are also here to explain the requirements that the travellers will be expected to abide by as they visit our country.
On 15 March 2020 President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the National State of Disaster in terms of the Disaster Management Act. In his address President Ramaphosa announced that government was taking urgent and drastic measures to manage the spread of Covid-19 infections, protect the people of this country and reduce the impact of the virus on the society and the economy.

One of the measures announced by the President entailed the introduction of restrictions on international travel and the closing of borders and ports of entries until the Covid-19 infection rates were reduced into manageable levels. On 20th September 2020, President Ramaphosa announced that the country was moving to Alert Level 1 of the Risk Adjusted Approach. Under Alert Level 1, the country eased some of the stringent restrictions which were imposed on citizens under lockdown.

He further announced that on 1 October 2020 South African borders will be opened for business and leisure travel for international traveller’s subject to a number of restrictions for travellers. These restrictions included that all travellers visiting the country will be expected to abide by the regulations which include mandatory wearing of masks at all times, practising social distancing in public spaces, regular washing or sanitizing of hands and presenting a negative Covid-19 test result not older than 72 hours from the time of departure.

Minister Naledi Pandor

EASING OF TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS

As a country we have adopted a gradual reopening of borders and ports of entry for international travel for business, leisure and other travel guided by the communique published by the Word Health Organisation (WHO) on Public Health on considerations for international travel on 30 July 2020. The gradual reopening of borders and ports of entry informed by a cautious approach means that a limited number of ports of entry and borders will be opened from 1 October 2020. In reopening these selected ports of entry and borders we will be guided by epidemiological and transmission rates both in South Africa and the traveller’s countries of origin.

As Government we will constantly monitor the transmission rates both in the country and the countries of origin and respond accordingly.

In the past month, the country’s health care capacity has significantly improved to treat those infected with the Covid-19 virus. To date the country has conducted over 4 million Covid-19 tests in both public and private health care facilities. Furthermore, the recovery rate is currently at 90 percent and the numbers of those infected with the virus is drastically reducing at an encouraging rate.

Due to the sacrifices made, the cooperation and determination of many South Africans we can now confidently declare that the country now has sufficient hospital capacity, including beds, ICU space and ventilators.

We can confidently say that the country is in a position to manage the number of infections and to provide adequate medical care and treatment for those who present Covid-19 symptoms. These response measures and the cooperation of the South African has been made possible for us to decide to re-open our borders for international travellers and visitors.

The country has also put measures in place to mitigate the risk of resurgence or a second wave of the spread of the virus by improving its contact tracing and isolation measures. One of the ground-breaking innovations that has been introduced is the COVID-Alert APP which alerts subscribers and provides relevant information if they have been in contact with any person who has tested positive for the virus. The APP helps to minimize the risk of spreading the virus.

All these measures have put the country at the cutting edge of managing the spread of the virus. We encourage the international travellers who intend to visit the country to download the APP so that they are able to monitor and minimise their risk of exposure to the Covid-19 virus.

Travellers intending to visit the country will be expected to produce a PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test that is not older than 72 hours from the time of departure from the country of origin to South Africa. This test must be conducted by a certified medical practitioner and should have the name and signature of the practitioner who conducted such test.

Upon arrival in the port of entry, the traveller will be screened for any Covid-19 symptoms or for contact with people who have been infected with the Covid-19 virus.

Travellers will also need to provide proof of accommodation address should they need to self-quarantine at the time of arrival in the country.

Should the traveller display any Covid-19–related symptoms or been in contact with an infected person(s), they will be expected to take a mandatory Covid-19 test. This test will be at the traveller’s cost. If the Covid-19 test comes back positive, the traveller will be subjected to a 10 day quarantine at a designated site. The accommodation at a quarantine site will be at the traveller’s cost.

South Africa has developed a risk categorisation model for different international travellers. This model classifies international travellers according to a scale of high, medium and low risk. High risk travellers are those who come from countries with higher numbers of Covid-19 infections and reported deaths compared to South Africa.

Medium risk travellers are from countries with relatively equal number of infections and death toll to South Africa and low risk travellers obviously originate from countries with lesser number of infections of Covid-19 and death toll than South Africa.

Leisure Travellers from high risk countries will not be permitted.

The exception will be business travellers with scarce and critical skills including diplomats, repatriated persons, investors and people participating in professional sporting and cultural events will undergo the same health protocol screenings.

If the passport of the traveller from a high risk country indicates that he/she has spent 10 days or more in a low risk country before departure, he/she will be considered to be arriving from a low risk country.

Travellers from medium and low risk countries will only be allowed into the country subject to the prevailing visa requirements.

Airlines from high risk countries are not necessarily banned, but their crew will be required to isolate in facilities at designated accommodation at the cost of their employer.

Long term visa holders who visit the country for business purposes will be allowed to travel to South Africa. These travellers will also be subject to health screenings for Covid-19 symptoms at the port of entry.

In the interest of all citizens, and the continuing public health efforts, South Africa reserves the right to deny entry of any traveller who is travelling from a high risk country for tourism purposes.

RE-OPENING OF AIRPORTS FOR TRAVEL BY AIR

Three airports will be opened and operational for international air travel. These airports are OR Tambo International (in Johannesburg, Gauteng), Cape Town International (in Cape Town, Western Cape) and King Shaka International in (Durban, KwaZulu-Natal). All travellers landing at these airports must present a PCR test which is not older than 72 hours from the time of departure from the country of origin to South Africa.

Furthermore, the international travellers should possess a mandatory travel insurance which is supposed to cover the Covid-19 test and quarantine costs. All these travellers will be subjected to Covid-19 screening on arrival. Those who present Covid-19 symptoms which include elevated body temperatures and flu-like symptoms, will be required to take a Covid-19 test which should be covered by the travel insurance. Should the test results come back positive, the traveller will be subjected to mandatory quarantine, which will also be paid for by the traveller or the travel insurance.

TRAVELLERS FROM AFRICAN COUNTRIES

To facilitate free movements of people, goods and services from South Africa, SADC and the African continent, travellers from the neighbouring countries are allowed to visit our country.

Travellers from all African countries are allowed and must possess relevant travel documents, and will also be screened for Covid-19 symptoms.

To allow ease of travel from the African countries, 18 borders will be opened. 35 border posts will continue to offer restricted services due to insufficient capacity for screening, testing and quarantine. Travellers who present themselves at borders which are unable to accommodate them will be directed to the currently operational border posts for processing.

Daily commuters who reside in cross-border areas/towns and those who are from neighbouring countries including those with relevant work permits and school children and teachers will be allowed to enter and exit the borders for work purposes. Residents thankful to be alive after runaway truck accident

Durban residents relived the moment a runaway truck ploughed through their wall. Another truck driver died in the accident while trying to stop the out-of-control vehicle.

The truck collided with least four cars – including a police vehicle – before crashing into a fence, damaging two houses.

No other injuries were reported. Police say the cause of the accident is still under investigation.

Sibusiso Makhanya said they heard screams outside. The next thing we knew there was a truck that got into the yard from the wall to our neighbour’s house,” Makhanya said.

The neighbours have the wall to thank for stopping the 14-ton truck.

“It definitely could have ended a lot worse if the neighbour’s wall wasn’t as strong,” said Natalie Chazvemba. The truck could have gone further down into the house”.

The residents say they’ve become all too familiar with accidents on Stapleton Road.

“There are many encounters where we had a lot of accidents and a lot of school kids also, because there is a school just on the other side and school kids from there have also been involved in car accidents,” Makhanya said.

Corruption in KZN municipalities reveals shocking results

The investigation report was presented on Wednesday before council members of both accused municipalities, the Ugu District and Msunduzi.

The Ugu District and Msunduzi municipalities were accused of fraud, corruption and statutory non-compliance in terms of section 106(1)(b) of the Municipal Systems Act.
CoGTA media liaison Senzelwe Mzila told African News Agency (ANA) on Wednesday that he could not disclose exactly which departments and who was being investigated because the matter was still under mediation.

“Officials were accused of a number of transgressions,” Mzila said.

The report highlights “irregular, unauthorised and fruitless expenditure” by current and past employees at both municipalities.

Sipho Hlomuka

In Msunduzi, the municipality was allegedly defrauded of “millions of rands” by an “irregularly” appointed service provider.

In the Ugu District, on the south coast of the province, senior officials failed to abide by the compulsory supply chain management (SCM) policies when awarding tenders, which resulted in heaps of wasted taxpayers’ money.

“These actions consequently contributed to the irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure incurred by the municipality,” the department said in a statement on Wednesday.

Hlomuka praised the department’s effort in sniffing out corruption within its walls.

“These forensic reports are proof of our department’s commitment to good and clean governance. As a government, we are committed to ensuring that our municipalities spend each and every rand on the real needs of our communities,” said Hlomuka.

The department said the accused municipal councils have been given 21 days to deliberate an outcome based on the findings of the forensic report.

“The municipalities must now tell us what they are going to do. This includes opening up of cases and also includes disciplinary action,” Mzila told ANA.

Amazon unveils payment by hand-waving

Amazon unveiled a new biometric payment system using palm recognition to be made available to rival retailers and also promoted as a replacement for badge entry at stadiums or workplaces.

The system called Amazon One was touted as “a fast, convenient, contactless way for people to use their palm to make everyday activities like paying at a store, presenting a loyalty card, entering a location like a stadium, or badging into work more effortless.”

The US technology giant said it would be installing the system at its Amazon Go retail locations, starting with two stores in its hometown of Seattle, Washington.

amazon

Amazon vice president Dilip Kumar said the system was developed as “a quick, reliable, and secure way for people to identify themselves or authorize a transaction while moving seamlessly through their day.”

Amazon One uses each individual’s “unique palm signature,” an alternative to other biometric identifiers such as fingerprint, iris or facial recognition.

“No two palms are alike, so we analyze all these aspects with our vision technology and select the most distinct identifiers on your palm to create your palm signature,” Kumar said in a blog post.
In Amazon Go stores, the palm-waving system will be added to the store’s entry gate as an option for shoppers.

“In most retail environments, Amazon One could become an alternate payment or loyalty card option with a device at the checkout counter next to a traditional point of sale system,” Kumar added.

The company said it was “in active discussions with several potential customers,” which could include other retailers, but offered no details.

Ntuli said alcohol and drugs play a major role in violent crime, as well as the use of firearms.

Deputy President David Mabuza’s fake Niece sentenced

The Mpumalanga woman who pretended to be Deputy President David Mabuza’s niece has been sentenced seven years’ direct imprisonment for three counts of fraud.

Nomfundo Sambo (33)was sentenced at Nelspruit Magistrates Court today after her arrest early last year.

Sambo, who identified herself as Thandeka Mabuza, made shocking claims in a written affidavit last March that the deputy president was planning to kill ecotourism businessman Fred Daniels.

She claimed she saw a hitlist of the people Mabuza was plotting to kill while she was visiting him at his home in Gauteng.

She pleaded guilty to all three counts of fraud and chose not to testify during mitigation of sentence.

Magistrate Thembi Nyambi said Sambo committed serious offences, which were pre-planned and needed a lot of groundwork. “It also takes a lot of bravery to execute the kind of fraud you committed. On the first count, you targeted the deputy president of the Republic of South Africa. It goes without saying his own security was compromised, as well as prejudice to his reputation.

“To also on the same count, make an affidavit in support of the High Court application which you knew were false representations shows you have little regard for the institutions of justice.” Msibi said citizens should have confidence in our police service. “I am unable to comprehend how a young woman like yourself would garner the courage to commit a crime where the SAPS is a victim.

Clearly, in the commission of all offences, you showed no respect for the law.

The court has a duty to maintain law and order and society does expect the courts to dispense justice in a decisive manner so confidence in the justice system must be maintained. The court can only restore and maintain public confidence by imposing sentences defeating of the crimes committed.”

Msibi said the court believed a suitable sentence was a jail term.

With regards to count one, Sambo was sentenced six years imprisonment, for count two five years and for count three, seven years imprisonment. She said count one and two would run concurrently with count three.

Magosha fears for her v@gina as more clients with big pen!ses keep coming

All she wanted was to get more clients. But she now has bigger problems. This is because instead of the sangoma helping her get more clients, she now gets clients with giant 4-5s.

“My very first client had the biggest 4-5 I’d ever seen,”

The woman (45) from Springs in Ekurhuleni told Daily Sun she’s been a magosha for four years and business was slow.

So she visited a sangoma in Joburg last year to attract more clients.

The sangoma prepared a bath for her with some muthi.

“There were a lot of things in that water and she convinced me I’d see changes in the business within a week,” she said.

“I was happy. I have three kids and other family members to feed and an improvement would have been nice.”

She said after taking the bath she was given something to burn at her workplace. But things didn’t turn out the way she’d expected.

“My very first client had the biggest 4-5 I’d ever seen,” she said.

“He explained that his wife couldn’t stand it and they only poked once in a while.”

She said they poked and she hoped to never see such again.

However, every client since then had a giant 4-5.

“It’s painful because I can’t even work every day like I used to,” she said.

“I now need to take at least two days off before I go back to work.

“I don’t even make the money that I used to make. Things went from bad to worse.”

The woman said she went back to the sangoma, but there was a new shop where the sangoma used to be.

“I got so mad. I asked around if anyone knew her, but only one person knew her.

It was futile because that person didn’t even have the sangoma’s number.”

Her sister, who’s been a sangoma for seven years, said she also tried to help but none of her muthi could break the curse.

“I tried my best. We’ll keep looking, but honestly things haven’t been easy as I also need to help her with her finances,” she said.

Daily Sun spoke to gobela Joseph Dungamanzi, who said the sangoma gave her the wrong muthi.

“I know about muthi and it’s usually used by women who have a problem attracting men with small 4-5s,” said Dungamanzi.

“I’ll help her get rid of this. It will only take a month.”

The First Year of Marriage is not Easy – Mohale Motaung

No troll formed against Mohale Motaung hall prosper and the entertainer is making sure of that. Mohale broke his silence over the backlash he got after it was announced that he will be joining Rhythm City for a few episodes.

Somizi Mhlongo’s husband appeared on Trending SA and addressed the criticism he received after it was announced by entertainment commentator Phil Mphela, that he has landed a role on eTV’s hit series Rhythm City.

Mohale Motaung-Mhlongo

As expected there were many negative comments from people who accused the South African media industry of recycling talent, and especially giving out these gigs to only famous people or people with connections.

Mohale’s latest win has many questioning the number of qualifications he has and when were the auditions for this specific character. Answering all the questions people had, Mohale spoke to the Trending SA presenters and defended himself by saying he auditioned for the role like everybody else.

Somizi Mhlongo and Mohale Motaung

Despite many saying he was the only one in the auditioning room, Mohale laughed it off and said he applied through his agency.

Somizi Mhlongo and Mohale Motaung

Beginning his interview, Mohale said at first people’s negative comments used to cut deep and he would be very much bothered by the hate, stating that now, he simply does not care. He is not going to waste his time and energy on people who do not know the full story and who have no idea who he is.

The businessman also debunked claims that his husband is hard at work getting him gigs saying he will not apologise for marrying Somizi because he is famous.

Mohale Tebogo Motaung
“In the beginning when people would share their thoughts about what I do, where I go it used to bother me. But then I said wait… I can’t be angry at people who don’t know me, or anything about me. People expect me to not do anything simply because I am married to a famous person. I can’t blame myself for getting married to Somizi. That must not mean I shouldn’t pursue any opportunities simply because people are going to say that Somizi got them for me,” proclaimed Mohale.

On the issue of him being the only person who auditioned, as per the outraged people, he said the audition was done via tape and through his agent along with six other people from his agency, and another six from another agency.

Mohale was then asked about how the couple celebrated their wedding anniversary and will there be a massive celebration. The socialite dropped a bombshell when he revealed they are planning a third wedding.

But before revealing such, he spoke about the challenges of marriage in its first year. “We had a quiet dinner and looked back at the past year. The first year of marriage, I must say, is not easy,” he said, adding that the reason is people are not told about the challenges and how to overcome them.

“We are not planning an extravaganza, but we are having another wedding,” he concluded. After remaining silent for almost the whole time he was trending, his husband Somizi answered the trolls by posting a meme which is directed at the haters. Who gave the best who shared a hilarious GIF, along with the caption, “Sometimes this is the answer u need to give to trolls”.
