There have been no arrests following the deadly shooting in Melville in Johannesburg. Police are urging the public to come forward with information. Two people died and many were wounded in the drive-by shooting early on New Year’s Day.
The attacker opened fire on patrons outside Poppy’s restaurant.
Both the deceased were women in their 30s.
In another incident, 11 people were wounded when shots were fired at Mary Fitzgerald Square. P
Preliminary investigations reveal the shooter fired several shots from the M2 double-decker bridge into the VIP section.
The Gauteng government strongly condemned the shootings.
