Job Summary Statement
Moolmans offers services across the mining value chain, from shaft sinking, underground development, contract mining and open cut mining, to construction of mine infrastructure. The operating group’s experience spans a broad range of commodities and it has worked successfully in remote and challenging locations. The Winding Engine Driver is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the shaft winder for the haulage of ore, persons and materials during a shift.

Minimum Requirements: ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS: • Grade 12 • Winding Engine Driver Certificate of Competency • Onsetter Ticket EXPERIENCE: • 5 years’ shaft sinking experience. Duties & Responsibilities
• Safe and effective operation of the Winder during a shift, within the framework of the act and identifying electrical and/or mechanical faults • Safe and effective operation of the Winder during a shift, within the framework of the act and identifying electrical and/or mechanical faults • Operating a winding engine • Providing effective team support

Knowledge Skills & Abilities: • Clear understanding of shaft sinking operations. • Attention to detail. • Awareness of Health and Safety. • Must be able to operate DC Winders.
