#Statecaptureinquiry to hear testimony from Sydney Mufamadi

Former safety and security minister Sydney Mufamadi is expected to testify at the state capture inquiry on Monday. The commission is focusing on State Security Agency-related evidence.

Mufamadi is also the former chairperson of the government’s high-level review panel which was appointed in June 2018 by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

In 2019, a report on the SSA found that there had been ‘political malpurposing and factionalisation of the intelligence community over the past decade or more’.
