COVID-19 in SA: 4,551 new cases identified

The health department said 4,551 new cases have been recorded in South Africa, bringing the total to more than 1.4 million cases.

There are currently over 134,000 active cases in the country. KwaZulu-Natal has the highest active cases at just over 46,500.

It is followed by the Western Cape with over 25,000 cases. The department said 243 more people have died from the virus.

The total death toll has passed the 41,000 mark.  Coronavirus Hotline Number: 0800 029 999 from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
