Award-winning musician and Idols judge, Unathi Nkayi gave a no-holds-barred interview on BET’s hit TV show, Behind The Story. Pearl Thusi was heavily praised for her hosting skills on this interview in particular, but in previous interviews her presenting skills were regarded as less than satisfactory.
Tweeps heaped praises on Unathi’s level of honesty and articulation. The Halo Sana hit-maker spoke quite openly about some poignant and personal areas of her life, including her widely publicised divorce from radio jock; Thomas Msengana, cyberbullying and her painful exit from Metro FM.
In recent months, it was widely reported that what broke the camel’s back was the alleged sexting that took place between Thomas and Sunday Sun editor, Thando. However, Unathi revealed that this nasty incident wasn’t entirely what propelled her to end the marriage.

In addition, the former Metro FM DJ stated that the breakdown of her marriage was a two way street and that she has taken responsibility for her part. Social media hasn’t been kind to most of our beloved celebrities and Unathi is unfortunately one of them. The mother of two has been constantly dogged for her singing voice – with some wondering how she has thrived in the music industry for so long. Proving just how much haters have zero impact on her, Unathi keeps soaring to greater heights in all that she does.

NOT many people know that Alexandra, north of Joburg, has its own hotel. The hotel is a shack just like most homes in the area. The only difference is that it’s a double-storey and looks fancy. When the SunTeam visited the hotel, its owner Steve Mkhwanazi (76) switched on the lights for a clearer view.
Madala Steve said he built it himself when he was younger and strong. It used to be the talk of the town back then when I was still able to maintain it,” he said.
