Emergency services on high alert as heavy rains hit Gauteng

Johannesburg Emergency Services disaster management teams are on standby as heavy rains continue to lash parts of Gauteng.

Motorists are urged to be extra cautious on the roads. Heavy downpours caused localised flooding in some parts of the province over the weekend

According to EMS spokesperson, Robert Mulaudzi, several roads have been damaged, with strong winds uprooting trees.
